This Summer's Bikini Guide: Part 1

Every females summer staple is to have a flattering, sophisticated swimsuit. Whether it is a bikini or a all-in-one this summer, I have decided to make a summer guide based on the traditional swimwear. In the first part of this summer guide, I have searched for some bikini tops, in as many styles and designs as possible, as well as showing you what you can pair your bikini top with. Don't worry I will have the bikini bottoms on a separate post, but for now it is all about the top.

With so many different designs out there on the high-street at the moment, you are truly spoilt for choice. From a triangle cup top to a strapless fringed top, there is something out there for everyone.

Also, if you are not comfortable wearing a bikini, then, hang on, as I will be posting an all-in-one swimsuits later on this summer guide. Additionally, if you are on the hunt for a cover-up this summer, then why not try out this season's latest trend: the kimono

So, here you are and I hope you enjoy.

This Summer's Bikini Guide: Part 1

1) Green Tribal Print Moulded Triangle Bikini Top - New Look - £9.99

The first style you could go for this summer is the triangle cup bikini top. I love the mint green and duck egg blue aztec print on this bikini and I like how the black straps makes the bikini stand out more. The triangle cup is big this summer, with lots of high-street stores taking inspiration from the Triangl Swimwear range (which by the way are so beautiful!) This bikini top is padded which I feel is a must for any bikini top, but I also love the back of the top which is kind of like a bra clip-on at the back, which makes it so much easier to put on, rather than fiddling around trying to tie a knot at the back.

2) Kelly Brook Blue Floral Embroidered Underwired Longline Bikini Top - New Look - £19.99

Recently, Kelly Brook has introduced her own swimwear range in all New Look stores across the country. I did know about this for quite a while, but never actually had a look at the range myself. While looking online, I couldn't resist having a quick peek around myself, and I have to say, most of the bikinis look so beautiful and flattering. I really liked this navy bikini top with the cute flower pattern incorporated in the design. If you are not comfortable flaunting your assets, then this bikini top is an option as it covers you up a bit more, but still looks pretty and feminine. Once again, this top has the bra-style clip-on at the back of the top making it more easy to take on and off.
If you don't really like the colour of this bikini top, or want it in a more bold colour, then they do have it in Red and Yellow

3) Light Green Ditsy Floral Extreme Push Up Bikini - New Look - £14.99

When I saw this bikini top, it reminded me of the Cath Kidston design, and I just thought it was so adorable. Once again, this bikini top does have the clip-on at the back, making it easy and versatile. I found this bikini top more of a subtle pattern instead of a garish, loud and bold pattern. It looks so feminine and if you are a girly-girl then this top would be perfect for you.
Again, if you don't like the mint green colour then they have it in Light Blue

4) Black Tropical Fringed Bandeau Bikini Top - River Island - £16.00

If you prefer to add some drama to your bikini top, then why not try one out with fringe detailing. This makes your bikini more noticeable and different. To make this bikini more versatile, it has detachable straps, which means you can decide whether you want the straps on or off. Plus, you could wear it with the straps on in the pool, but then take them off when sunbathing, in order to avoid those tan lines.
The top also has moulded cups and a clip back fastener, making it more flattering and keeping in with this season's trends.

5) Blue Floral Check Bustier Bikini Top - River Island - £16.00

I really liked the checked pattern with the floral detailing on this bikini top. I think it looks simple but adds a pop of colour for this summer. It has moulded cups, a clip back fastener and detachable straps. Also, if you have fallen in love with this bikini top, then you better hop online, as this is a web exclusive and will not be available in the shops.

So, those are all of the bikini tops, let's see what I accessorised with it...

6) Limited Edition Lime Retro Sunglasses - River Island - £10.00

When I saw these sunglasses I instantly fell in love with them. I loved the colour of the shades as it had a half-gold tone to them which I thought was perfect for the summer. I really like the style of the sunglasses as I think they are right on trend this season. But, what I liked the most was the lime green block colour at the top of the sunglasses which I think added a bit of subtle style and made the sunglasses more interesting and unique. A must-have essential this summer!

7) Cuzco Luggage Bag - Topshop - £45

An over-sized bag is another must-have this summer, especially if you are heading abroad. This bag would be the perfect hand luggage as it is probably a good size, meaning you could pack all your on-board essentials while still looking stylish at the same time. It also has a mirror and pom pom detailing. What more could you want! I know the price is high, but think about the amount of times you would reuse this bag for years to come. I know personally I could get some much use out of this bag, that the price wouldn't matter as much.

My Week & Clothes Haul

I haven't blogged in a while, due to having a busy week this week, which is quite unusual for me. I am the sort of person that waits for each day to come and then decide what I am going to do on that day. However, over the last three days I have had some plans which I will now talk to you about.

Last weekend, my parents went away to Milton Keynes in order to attend an event there. They stayed at a hotel and then travelled home the next day. However, opposite the hotel was a massive Primark, River Island, H&M, New Look, etc. Before heading home, they decided to have a look around, and, when they arrived home, my parents had treated me to some items from Primark and Next. I was not expecting this one bit, and I felt like a little child at Christmas, opening up my presents.

So, I thought I would share with you guys what I got...

Kabuki Brush - £2.50
The first thing I got was a powder brush. I really like the make-up brushes from Primark as I think they are just as good and do the same job as a high-end brush would do. I would recommend getting Primark brushes if you are new to make-up, like myself and then maybe getting a more expensive brush when you become more confident applying make-up.

Two packs of Antibacterial Hand Wipes - £1
Next up I got two packets of Antibacterial Hand Wipes, which are great to use during this sticky and humid weather we are currently getting in England at the moment.

Necklace - £6
Recently, I have been loving statement necklaces and when I saw this one in the bag I fell in love with it. I love the pastel colours used in the necklace which are great for the summer time. I wore this necklace to my brother's graduation, which I will talk about later in this post.

Owl Mirror - £2
This little, cute Owl Mirror will be perfect for my make-up bag. I think it is always useful to have a mirror on you at all times, as you never know when you might need it.

Dress
I love the colours and the material of this sun dress. I wore this to the Odney Club (which I will talk about later in this post). The material had a silky feel to it, which left me feeling cool and I think it would look great on holiday over a bikini, after you get out of the pool.

Pink Pumps - £4
These bright pink pumps would go perfectly with the sun dress above and I think I would probably get a lot of wear out of these, as I could wear them to sixth form either with trousers or a skirt in the winter.

Beige Pumps - £8
I got another pair of pumps as well. I really love the colour of these pumps as they would go with anything in my wardrobe and I could wear them all year round. I love the fact the pumps have a chain and strap which makes them a little bit different and adds a bit of colour. Again, I think I would get a lot of wear out of these.

Skirt - WAS - £22 NOW - £10
There was a sale on in Next in which I got this pastel pink skirt with beige pattern on it. I think this looks really summery and would be perfect for sixth form as well. I would pair this with the beige pumps above and for half price as well! What a bargain!

Stripy Pumps
These stripy pumps were also from the Next Sale. I'm not sure how much they cost as I took the label off. I have worn these already and they are super comfortable. I really love the colours as I don't own any black and white shoes or stripy shoes for that matter. I think these would look great with shorts and a crop top or maybe in the winter with black skinny jeans and a jumper. I think you could probably get a lot of different looks out of these one pair of shoes.

Dry Shampoo - £2.99
Another thing I wanted to share with you was this Batiste Dry Shampoo Original. Now, this year I have been testing and trying new things that I wouldn't normally do. For example, wearing make-up is something totally alien to me but I have been really enjoying it. Another thing is my hair. I never really did much to my hair except getting the occasional short cut. However, this year I have opted to grow my hair and try new hairstyles and products. Last weekend, my cousin straightened my hair, and, as I don't own a pair of straighteners myself (but I am asking for a pair for my birthday) I was so excited. I really loved my hair straight (as I do have naturally curly hair). In order, to keep my straight hair for as long as possible, I went out and bought some dry shampoo. I had heard about dry shampoo before, but never tried it out and I am so glad I did. It is like a miracle worker. It is so easy and simple to use as well. All you have to do is spray it onto your roots and massage it in and it feels like you have just washed your hair. This would be great if you don't have time in the morning to wash your hair or if you are going to a festival this summer, then this is a must-have. I also really liked the smell of the original shampoo which was a massive plus.

On Tuesday, I travelled to Swanage for the day with my mum and dad. Swanage is my childhood holiday destination, as we used to always go to Swanage and rent out an apartment and me and my two brothers spent out summer holidays, either playing on the beach, building sandcastles or splashing in the sea, or in the arcade, wasting the last few pennies we had on us or trying to sweet-talk our dad into giving us some money to play on the machines. These are some of my fondest memories and ones I will always treasure for a long time. Therefore, I could not wait to finally arrive. We got up bright and early and went out to get some breakfast. Then, we started on our journey. It took us longer than usual, due to traffic and the queue for the ferry was so long we had to go all the way round in order to get into Swanage. But, we finally arrived, and the weather was amazing!

View from the beach
The beach was packed and the sun was blaring down on the sand, which made it so hot to walk on, but it was such a nice day and I even managed to get a tan on my back, which I was quite proud of. As well as sunbathing, I went into the sea, which was so warm and lovely to dip your feet into.

Obviously, I had to make a quick visit to the arcade, to play on the 2p machines, but I didn't win anything, except gaining a few pennies out of the machine!
And another...
Then, me and my mum headed to this little knick-knacky shop called The Curiosity Shop, which has all sorts of bits and bobs, from sea ornaments for your home to bracelets and rings, but I didn't find anything I liked there, so we decided to leave.

I took this when we were on the ferry coming home.
Recently, they have opened a tiny New Look in Swanage and I couldn't resist having a quick peek inside. This was the wrong idea, as I soon found lots of things I really liked, and ended up buying some clothes for my holiday.

Later on, we had some fish & chips for dinner (a must-have when going to the beach) and headed home.

Here is what I got from New Look...

Trousers - £19.99
I found these patterned trousers which are quite baggy and have a turned-up end. I thought these would be perfect to travel in on the plane as it is normally air-conditioned and these were so adorable. I also own a pair of harem pants and I got so much wear out of them, so I will probably do the same to these. I also love the colours and they are so bright and summery. Perfect for holiday!

Blouse - 14.99
When I saw this blouse sitting on the hanger, I knew instantly I had to have it. I think this would be perfect for sixth form in September as it can be quite warm when we return. This is me all over and I cannot wait to wear it! I am also a big sucker for a Peter Pan collar which made me want it even more!

Maxi Dress - WAS - £29.99 NOW - £15
I have never worn a maxi dress in my life, but I always wanted to try one out and it was in the sale so it was perfect. I love the deep royal blue with the bright pink aztec print incorporated in the dress. I love how the dress goes in at the top, leaving a baggy look on the top half. When I tried it on, it fitted perfectly and was very flattering. I love the silky material and it made me feel very grown up. Very pleased with this purchase!

Yellow Crop Top - £9.99
I have quite a few of this style of crop top and have already got so much wear out of them. I have one in a duck egg blue and a white one as well. I was going to get this crop top a while ago (which I have mentioned in a previous blog post) but they didn't have my size, however I have finally got it and I know I will constantly be wearing it.

Orange Vest - £9.99
My last item I got from New Look was this silky vest top. I thought this would go perfectly with the trousers and I will be wearing this to the airport. I don't normally go for these type of tops but it was very flattering on and I couldn't resist.

On Wednesday, I went to the Odney Club in Cookham as my cousin, Hannah invited me to go there so we could go swimming and rowing. It was such a great day out, and it was even better as we got beautiful weather as well. We arrived at the club (which you do need to be a member of but as Hannah worked there we didn't have to pay), and got our bands in order to go to the outdoor swimming pool. As we got in the pool, it was the perfect temperature, not too hot but not too cold either. We swam around for about an hour and a half, as they did have floats as well so we chilled on them. Then, we got changed and headed to get some food.

A view from the boat
I chose the Tomato, Pesto and Mozzarella Panini with Chips and a lemonade, while Hannah opted for a Fish Finger Sandwich with Chips. Hannah ended up sharing my lemonade in the end.

After we had eaten our lunch, we went to reception to get the Boat Key. You have to pay a deposit of £5 which you get back at the end, they give you a key and you get your life jackets and oars from the nearby shed. Then, you open the padlock of your numbered boat, hop inside and off you go. It was so much fun, hard work and hilarious at the same time. We managed to get into a routine, and we did survive in the end, although, some man did crash into us at one point but we just laughed it off.

Once we had locked up the boat and returned the life jackets and oars, we went to get an ice cream and cool off.
Another view from the boat
Finally, on Thursday I went to my brother, Alex's graduation. It was again such a great day and the weather was so hot that we all ended up melted by the end of it. It was held at the Festival Hall in South Bank which was such a lovely place. Unfortunately, there wasn't any air conditioning in the entrance, plus hundreds of people radiating body heat did not help the situation. Let's just say that everybody was fanning themselves.

Inside the graduation ceremony, it was much cooler and bearable. The ceremony was very long but it eventually got to Alex and we all gave a massive cheer. He also shook hands with Jacqueline Wilson which was so cool, as she is my favourite childhood author. I have read all of her books and my favourites are probably either Double Act or My Sister Jodie.

Anyway, that was my week, quite busy but very enjoyable. Hope you have all had a great week. What have you been up to?

Latest Trend: The Kimono

The latest trend that has been making an appearance on the high-street lately has been the kimono. On most online shops, there is now a section dedicated to the kimono. "Kimono" is a Japanese traditional garment. The word "kimono" literally means a "thing to wear", just in case you didn't already know!

I am loving the kimono trend at the moment and am a proud owner of one myself. I feel that it is a summer staple this season. The great thing about investing in a kimono is that it can literally be worn with anything. Either shorts and a crop top with a kimono thrown on for a more relaxed, beach vibe, or with a cute summer dress to add a pop of colour. As well as using it for this purpose, I am going to be mostly wearing mine on holiday over my bikini (as sometimes you just want the sun off your shoulders for a couple of minutes and this still makes you look fashionable at the same time!)

When I think of a kimono, I think of a long-sleeved, wrap-around, maxi dress which is tied around your waist, however this season, kimonos have been spiced up, giving the perfect festival/boho look.

Below are some of my favourite kimonos that I found on the high-street, in a range of different colours and patterns...
Latest Trend: The Kimono

1) ASOS Curve Exclusive Kimono with Embroidered Back - £45.00

If you are looking for a subtle kimono this summer, then this is the perfect one for you. I think this kimono is so cute and it seems to have a vintage feel to it as well, which makes it even more gorgeous. I love the embroidered flower pattern on the back, as it adds a little bit of colour to the kimono.
Furthermore, on ASOS they have created a section called "ASOS Curve" which presents a collection of plus-size clothing in order to complement the fuller figure. Each piece in the collection is cleverly adjusted for the most flattering fit for each body type. This kimono comes in a range of sizes from 18-28.

2) Ebba Flower Trim Paisley Kimono - Boohoo.com - £20.00

I am in love with patterns, literally, anything that has a pattern on I will probably wear, and that's why there doesn't appear to be any neutral or plain kimonos. Also, the traditional Japanese kimonos are full of colour and pattern, so therefore I tried to search for traditional, stylish and modern kimonos. This kimono has a range of colours and tribal print which I think is perfect for a festival this summer. I love the length of the kimono as I prefer the over sized effect rather than something tight and exclusive. Personally, I think that you should buy a kimono that is a bigger size than your average size as it just looks much better baggy and loose.
For a extra boho/festival look this summer, why not add a tassel bag and fedora hat, teamed up with some little boots or wellies.

3) White Tropical Print Embellished Kimono - River Island - £45.00

I think that this kimono, in particular, captures the traditional Japanese look, however adds a modern twist to it. The clear-cut pattern isn't too overpowering or garish. The black lining makes the kimono stand out more against the soft and slightly washed out pattern. This kimono is perfect flung on over a bikini while lying stretched out on a sunlounger, reading a good book and sipping on a ice-cold drink. Or you could team it up with strappy heels or wedges and a black dress for a night-time look.

4) ASOS Kimono in Navy and White Florals - £38.00

Again, this kimono is perfect if you prefer a more neutral colour - like navy - however, has a little bit of colour and pattern. I think this kimono will look perfect all year round. In the summer with a little skirt and crop top, sandals, fedora hat, sunglasses and tasselled bag. Or in the winter, like the model in the picture above, you could pair it with jeans, a grey/white top and converse. This kimono is versatile and although it is a little pricey, you are guaranteed to get the wear out of it.

5) Embroidered Kimono - Topshop - £55.00

When I first saw this kimono on the YouTuber Zoella (if you don't know who she is, first of all, where have you been?? and secondly, go and check her out right now!) I fell instantly in love with it. I love the fact it has a vintage look to it with the washed-out flower pattern on, how the sleeves are mid-length, the tassels hanging down from the kimono which makes it appear more boho and how it is in my favourite colour - mint! I think this gives a subtle bit of colour to any outfit but keeps you looking great and keeping in touch with the latest trends. Again, I know it is quite pricey but I think you would probably wear this a lot and is perfect for when the weather turns cloudy (which we are prone to in England) but still quite muggy, this will keep you cool without looking too exposed.

6) Tan Suedette Tassel Ankle Boots - New Look - £24.99

For my last two items, I figured I could show you some potential ways to style these on-trend kimonos. I thought instead of wearing sandals, heels or wedges with your kimonos, why not try out some little boots. After browsing all of the shops I could think of, I finally came across a pair of shoes that I actually liked and wouldn't mind buying for myself. These tasselled boots are perfect for the summer and winter. You could pair them with little socks, high waisted shorts, crop top and your kimono and you would look perfect. Or for the winter, why not wear them with some thick tights, skirt, blouse and a cute coat. If you are not keen with the boots in brown, then they have another pair in black.

7) Red Racer Crop Vest - New Look - £5.99

My last item is this block-coloured crop top which you could wear underneath your kimono. Again, I have chosen a bright colour as opposed to black or white, as I personally think it adds more boldness and brightness to your look. I would probably pair this with the centre kimono or the cream kimono as it would just open the outfit up a bit and make it stand out. Plus, I would add the boots with the look as well. They have this top in a range of colours which include White, Gooseberry and Blue, so make sure to check them out!

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and let me know if you are liking the kimono trend.

My Top Tips For Sixth Form Life

As I have finally finished Year 12, I thought I would share with you some of my top tips on surviving the first year of Sixth Form.

Now, I know there are a lot of perks of being in sixth form, like, for example, getting to wear your own clothes and getting free periods, however it is quite difficult!

This blog post isn't supposed to scare or put you off the idea of attending sixth form at all. In fact, I would probably recommend it. But, there is a major step-up from GCSE level that many people struggle with (including myself). However, don't worry as there are so many people who are in the same position as you.

For me, I knew I was always going to sixth form. Once I got my GCSE results, I was so excited to be starting sixth form life, as one of the oldest students in the school, and getting to wear my own smart attire, instead of the horrible school uniform. However, after my first couple of weeks at sixth form, I knew that it wasn't going to be that simple...

Firstly, I didn't pick the most easiest subjects. I chose my options based on what I liked and enjoyed, but also my results played a massive part as well. I ended up picking Philosophy & Ethics, History and English Literature, and although, they are all essay-based subjects, I still really enjoy them.

My first tips before even entering sixth form are to:

  1. Pick subjects you are interested in or passionate about. At AS Level, you only have to pick 4 subjects, but make sure to pick the ones you are going to enjoy. You will have to stick with these subjects for at least a year, unless you choose to drop one.
  2. Make sure to check out the required grades you need in your GCSE's in order to study that subject. For example, I had to get at least a B in English to do it for A-Level.
  3. Get all your equipment like pens, coloured fineliners and lots and lots of paper. These are necessities at sixth form. The amount of paper and notebooks I have got through this year are ridiculous.
  4. Make sure to get all your sixth form clothes before the term begins!
My first week at sixth form was good, although I did get incredibly tired. So, make sure to get an early night as you will need it!

After you have got into the swing of things, regarding homework, studying etc. All of a sudden, the dreaded exam period appears, and you wonder how it got around so quickly! Plus, there is even more pressure as you need good grades to maybe carry on the subject you want/need to do, or to get grades in order to go to university or a job etc.

I hate exam season, as I get incredibly stressed and this is normally the time when I eat way to much food, which is mostly junk, and break out in spots, which makes you stress even more. However, I have put together some top tips in staying calm through exam stress:
  1. Start your revision early. This may sound boring and pointless in a way, but I think it will help you in the long run. I started revising for my AS exams about 2 months before the exam, and I was still stressing about it, even the night before.
  2. Make cue cards, notes, spider diagrams, tables, diagrams etc, basically whatever helps you learn. Or just use the techniques when revising for your GCSE's for your A-Levels, it all works the same.
  3. Make sure you are aware of the mark schemes and grade boundaries, this way you are aware of what the examiner is looking for in order to gain marks.
  4. Stay calm! This is my number one piece of advice for anybody going through exams. Try not to get stressed. You might feel that you are not ready for a particular exam the day before, trust me, I know the feeling, but you are ready! Remember you have been preparing for this exam for about a year, and everything will come flooding back to you when you enter the exam room.
  5. Try to have some days off from revision. I know you might feel guilty for taking a day off, but you do need a break once in a while. Maybe go out for a shopping trip, meet up with friends and have a coffee, or even just having a face mask and relaxing bath! As well as having a break through going out, make sure to take regular 15-20 minutes breaks while revising as the information will not go in if you keep revising all day with no break.
  6. Finally, I know your exams are important, but it isn't the end of the world, if you don't get the grade you wanted. Life will still go on, and you are still alive! Remember, exams are just a way of showing off what you know!
I seem to be painting sixth form as a bad idea and terrible place, but the truth is, it is such a good experience. Personally, I have enjoyed this year so much. Firstly, you make friends with people that you might have never spoken to before (even for 5 years!) due to having your own common room, this enables you to have conversations with others that are not in your social circle. At our sixth form, we had termly parties, this meant that at the end of a big term, like Christmas or Easter, we throw a party which was so much fun and was a way for us to blow off steam, especially before exam season.

We also went on a range of trips and we most recently went to Brighton on Tuesday, as an end of the year treat. Everybody had so much fun and as it was a really hot day, it meant we could relax on the beach or go to the pier which was so lovely.

Another good thing about sixth form is you are treated like adults. This has enabled me to grow and mature as a person, but also gain more confidence in myself as well.

I hope this blog post has helped some of you one are entering sixth form this year or thinking about it. I hope I haven't put any of you off as it is a brilliant experience, and I cannot wait until next year!

A great sense of humour, can perform romantic gestures spontaneously, (but not all of the time) and good fashion sense (but that's not really important).

25) Turn off?

If they have no personality, arrogant or rude.

26) The reason I joined YouTube?

I haven't joined YouTube, but I do watch YouTube videos.

27) Fears?

My biggest fear is needles. I absolutely hate needles and so when the doctor says that I need to have a blood test I start to panic and I can't sleep. I also don't like spiders or small spaces as I feel like I can't breath, and this starts to panic me.

28) Last thing that made you cry?

I have no idea. I think it was an episode of Desperate Housewives (which sounds so sad!)

29) Last time you said you loved someone?

Yesterday, to my mum.

30) Meaning behind your YouTube name?

As I don't have a YouTube channel, I will just do my blog name. "Beaute" means beautiful in French and "mode" is French for fashion and I just think all fashion is beautiful and fashion is something I enjoy and feel passionate about, so that is it really.

31) Last book you read?

That would be Jane Eyre for my A-Level English Literature exam.

32) The book you are currently reading?

Divergent (for my own pleasure) and Sweeney Todd (for A Level English)

33) Last show you watched?

I started to watch an episode of Desperate Housewives, but I haven't finished it yet.

34) Last person you talked to?

My mum.

35) The relationship between you and the last person you texted?

Well, the last person I texted was my dad and the last person I WhatsApp'd was on a group message full of my friends.

36) Favourite food?

Chicken and Eggs (not together though!)

37) Place you want to visit?

New York and Bora Bora (so badly!)

38) Last place you were?

School.

39) Do you have a crush?

Nope.

40) Last time you kissed someone?

Probably, my cat.

41) Last time you were insulted?

Today, by my brother.

42) Favourite flavour of sweet?

Strawberry.

43) What instruments do you play?

Piano.

44) Favourite piece of jewellery?

I love all sorts of rings. But, my favourite pieces of jewellery are a ring and locket my mum gave me that were once hers.

45) Last sport you played?

I went to a Body Pump class about a month ago.

46) Last song you sang?

Chandelier by Sia.

47) Favourite chat up line?

"Hey, feel this!", "That's boyfriend material"

48) Have you ever used it?

No way!

49) Last time you hung out with anyone?

At the weekend, me and my cousin went to Windsor for some lunch and a spot of shopping.

50) Who should answer these questions next?

You guys! Please leave a comment with you answering some of these questions about yourselves. I would love to read them and find out a little bit about you guys.

Hope you enjoyed this post and got to know me a little bit better!

Rings & Tings Purchases And Discount

After examining and reading other blogs, I discovered a post about an online store called Rings & Tings. (Firstly, can I just say that I love the name so much!) Anyway, I thought that I would hop online to Google and type in this undiscovered shop to see what they sell. After looking for a good 3 minutes, I knew I had fallen in love!

As I have a massive ring obsession, I knew that I would be buying two rings from this website. My first ring is a silver cat ring, which sums me up in one. First of all, I am a huge cat lover and am a proud owner of my own feline friend. Literally, anything that has a cat on or has a reference to a cat I will probably love.

The second ring I purchased was a red stoned gold-patterned vintage ring. I love how this ring is such a big statement and would go with any of my day-to-day outfits. I love the colours, and patterns around the rim of the ring itself. So, overall I am so pleased with both items and cannot wait to start wearing them!

Another thing I liked about Rings & Tings was the prices. When I was about to look on the website, I was expecting the jewellery to be expensive and not to mention the postage and packaging. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Each ring cost around £2.80, which I did not think was bad, and the postage was around £2.80 (which, again, I did not think was bad, especially as the jewellery was coming all the way from Hong Kong!)

Not only does Rings & Tings sell jewellery, they also sell handbags, shoes and dresses.

All in all, I absolutely love my new additions to my rings, and I will definitely be buying some more in the future! Maybe, next time I will try out a necklace or bracelet.

One more thing: Rings & Tings have offered me a 10% discount code: stylecard10 for all purchases. So, now you have no excuses!

Hope you enjoyed this post and make sure to check out the Rings & Tings website now.

My New Beauty Buys

I know I haven't blogged a lot but this is purely because I have been back at school after my horrible exams and this means I have to do homework and work, so it has taken up much of my time, but I will try and make time to blog at the weekend. Hopefully, I will be able to blog more when the summer holidays come in just 2 weeks!!!!

Yesterday I went on a little shopping trip to Windsor with my cousin as I just really wanted to get out of the house. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't the greatest but it didn't put a downer on our day!

First we looked round the big high-street shops like Topshop, New Look and H&M. But I didn't see anything I liked, and I was trying to stop myself from buying any new clothes for holiday. I have already spent quite a bit, and I will only buy something now if I desperately need it.

After browsing the shelves, we were both hungry so we headed to Gourmet Burger Kitchen which was delicious! Their skinny fries are amazing and addictive. I could probably eat, just them, for the rest of my life!!!

Afterwards we headed to Boots where I couldn't resist buying a couple of bits. My Stay Matte Foundation had started to run out and so I knew I needed to buy a new one and FAST!!! I had always wanted to try out the Wake Me Up range but stopped myself due to the price. However, today I thought, why not treat myself? So, I bought this Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation 100 Ivory. I have just tried this out this morning, and I am so happy with it. It covers my face quickly and evenly and I don't know how I survived without it.

Next, I headed to the Simple skincare range as I had used Simple products before and found that it helped my skin a lot. It cleared up my spots and reduced blemishes on my face. Recently, I have been getting odd spots and blackheads which are so annoying (especially for teenagers, who are always in the firing line for spots!!) Therefore, I wanted to get something for my face which would reduce and maybe, stop this from happening. After scouring the shelves, I discovered this Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Facial Scrub.
Apparently, the scrub removes dead skin cells, dirt and impurities. Clinically proven, to reduce blackheads and blemishes in just 7 days. Well, after reading that I knew I needed to purchase it.

After looking around a few more shops, I decided to head to one last shop to buy some loom bands. I made my own loom band on Thursday at school and I never realised how easy it was to make, so I knew I had to buy my own pack. Now, if you don't know about loom bands, firstly, where have you been? And secondly, don't worry because you can find out in my previous post The Discovery Of The Loom Bands.
Plus, they were only 99p, so what a bargain.

After I got home, I painted my nails in this summery purple colour, which I thought screamed out pastels and sun. Perfect for this weather we have recently been getting in the UK.

Also, I really needed some nail polish remover so luckily my mum got some today. I thought it was nice to take a pic of it, for no reason at all.

Hope you enjoyed this post! What have you been up to this weekend?
